The capillaty rise of
mixed aqueous solutions dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide-Triton X-100
Abstract
The influence of
mixed surfactant solution dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide-Triton X-100
composition on surface tension, critical concentration of micellization,
kinetics of capillary rise and wetting of glass were investigated. It was
demonstrated that the mixture shows ideal behavior in the process of micellization.
The synergistic effects in mixture adsorption layers on glass/solution
interface formation were demonstrated. The unusual effect was observed for
surfactant mixtures solutions (C=10-4-10-3M), namely the
capillary rise of solutions replaced sharply by flowing down.
