Quasitemplate Synthesis of Palladium
Nanostructurized Electroplates
Abstract
Palladium deposits are synthesized from solutions with
additions of polyethyleneglycol and polyvinylpirrolidone by a quasitemplating
method. The deposits are characterized by high specific surface areas, enhanced
hydrogen sorption capacities, and electrocatalytic activities with respect to nitrate anion reduction. A trend for an increase in the specific
surface areas with an increase in the molecular weight of polymer additives is
observed.
