The nonadditivity of contributions of parallel reactions of sulphide-anion and cysteine oxydation with molecular oxygen to summary velocity of the catalytic process.

Abstract

The nonadditivity of contributions of parallel reactions of sulphide-anion and cysteine oxydation in aqueous solutions in the presence of Cu(II)-containing polyacrylamide hydrogel has been achived. It was shown that the effect of nonadditivity depends on the ration of substrates concentrations in mixture, experiment continuance, presence of the catalyst and it may be positive, negative and variable. The appearance of this effect was related to system-dynamic properties of open catalytic system. These properties are the result of components interaction forming the system and parallel reactions substrates may be such components. Positive values of the nonadditivity effect and their increase in the beginning of the process connect with catalyst development and the appearance of cysteine oxydation semi-products having own catalytic activity in this process.
