Empirical correlations of liquid metals surface tension with sound velocity and planck constant

Abstract

New empirical correlations are proposed for surface tension s of liquid metals, namely with sound velocity vs and autoadsorption GA, s = GA×vs2; with Planck constant h and atomic volume VA: , n – series number in the Periodic System. Calculations were performed for 16 liquid metals. The results are in a good agreement with the proposed equations.
