Influence
of Aromatic Solubilizator (Toluene) on the Characteristics of Nonionic
Surfactant Micelles Tween-80 in Aqueous Solutions
Abstract
Comprehensive colloid-chemical
investigation (by dynamic and static light scattering, spectrophotometry) of
toluene solubilization in nonionic surfactant Tween-80 aqueous solutions
allowed to reveal the solubilizate influence on the micelle parameters. It was
shown that the toluene solubilization leads to the increasing of size,
aggregation number, hydration degree, thickness of polyoxyethylene layer of
micelles. The influence of solubilizate concentration on solubilizate site in
micelle was analyzed.
