A technique of chemical
modification of MgO surface with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane and various
arylethoxysilanes is elaborated
Abstract
Surface density value for
arylethoxysilanes on the surface depends on the functionality of the silane. Phenyltri
ethoxysilanes gives the highest density value, trifenilethoxy silane –the
lowest one. Presence of water in the reaction mixture leads to the increase of
the surface density value for diphenyldiethoxysilane and phenyltriethoxysilane.
