The standard enthalpy of formation of β-alanine

Abstract

The energy of combustion (∆cU0), of β-alanine in the crystalline state at 298.15 K was determined using a static-bomb isoperibolic calorimeter. The enthalpy of combustion (∆cH)0, and the enthalpy of formation (∆fH0), were derived from these data. Theobtainedresultsarecomparedwithliterarydata.
