Sensors based on dielectric metamaterials

Abstract

We propose multiple resonances in thin profiled dielectric films. The excitation of the dielectric resonances results in giant electric and magnetic field fluctuations. We have obtained dielectric enhanced Raman scattering (DIERS) in the profiled dielectric films that have facet structure.
Key words: SERS, DiERS, metamaterials, Raman scattering, biochemical detection.
