Gradient HPLC separation of alkylphosphonic acids on porous graphitic carbon sorbent Hypercarb with water solution of formic acid as a mobile phase

Abstract

An approach to gradient HPLC separation of alkylphosphonic acids on porous graphitic carbon sorbent Hypercarb with water solution of formic acid as a mobile phase was proposed. Analytes were detected by quadrupole mass-spectrometer. HPLC column was washed with water before the injection of analytes, this procedure resulted in 3–4 fold increase of the retention times of alkylphosphonic acids compared to literature data.
Key words: liquid chromtography (HPLC), mass spectrometry, porous graphitic carbon Hypercarb, alkylphosphonic acids.
