Determination of Cr and study of its distribution in advanced materials based on tin oxide by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry

Abstract

A novel approach is developed for the determination of chromiumdopants by ICP-MSon the surface and in the volume of advanced materials based on tin oxide. Using KSCNis suggested for the determination chromium on the surface without dissolving the tin. According to the obtained data, 20% of chromium is on the surface of the material, 80% – distributed in the volume. The distribution of chromium on the surface and in the volume of SnO2 does not depend on the amount introduced in the synthesis.
Key words: nanomaterials, chromium, tin dioxide, Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry.
