13C MAS NMR mechanistic study of n-hexane conversion over Pt supported on ceria and alumina

ABSTRACT. 13C MAS NMR have been performed in situ to investigate the mechanism of n-hexane conversion over Pt/alumina, Pt/ceria and Pt/ceria-alumina composite oxides, prepared by laser assisted Pt deposition. n-Hexane conversion was studied at 653 K. n-Hexane 1-13C was used as labelled rectant. The attention was focused on the elucidation of the role of the support on the mechanism of n-hexane transformations.
