ABSTRACT. The (2'-methoxyethyl)- and (2'-diphenylphosphanylethyl)cyclopentadienyl Ti(IV) half-sandwiches were prepared via corresponding cyclopentadienylsilanes in good yields. [h5:h1-C5(CH3)4CH2CH2OCH3]TiCl3 was shown to form adducts with TiCl4. Oxidation of [h5:h1-C5H4CH2CH2PPh2]TiCl3 with O2 under mild conditions lead to [h5:h1-C5H4CH2CH2P(O)Ph2]TiCl3. In crystalline state this complex (an adduct with toluene 4:1) is monomeric and exhibits TiO=P coordination bond.
