EDUCATION: 1979-1984: Department of Chemistry, Moscow State University, student. Graduated in 1984 with an excellent diploma. 1984-1987: Department of Chemistry, Moscow State University, post-graduate student. Ph.D. in physical chemistry (1990).

SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS: quantum chemistry and molecular vibrations: numerical solution of Schrodinger equation, density matrixes, electron diffraction analysis; numerical methods: regression analysis, multiparameter optimization, Fast-Fourier transform, multidimensional numerical integration.

PRESENT STATE: Since Jan. 1988 - Assistant professor in the Laboratory of Computational Methods in Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Moscow State University.

He is experienced in using IBM PC-compatible computers for different purposes: scientific calculations, graphics, text processing, data bases. Also is familiar with different operating environments for IBM PC's: DOS, Windows, OS/2, Unix. Now is busy as a system manager of two computer classes used mainly for teaching purpposes and based on IBM PC's connected in LAN. Works on installation, tuning and management of some Internet hosts at Chemical Department. At the present time - technical administrator of Internet domain chem.msu.su. Since 1984 teaches first year chemistry majors at the Chemical Department computer basics, programming languages (FORTRAN, Pascal) and numerical methods. At the present time prepares the course of telecommunication basics and using the Internet resources for the experienced students.
