Voltammetric determination of zinc in aqueous solutions of poly-n-vinylpyrrolidone

Abstract

The process of zinc electrodissolution from the graphite electrode surface in absence and in presence of water-soluble polymer poly-N-vinylpirrolidone was studied by means of stripping voltammetry. It was not found a significant influence of the polymer to kinetics of the electrode process. The dependencies of anodic peaks values from Zn(II) concentration were linear. The possibility of Zn(II) determination in the absence and in the presence of 1 % polymer in model solutions was shown.
