Effects of blood plasma inhibitors on the activity of proteases immobilized on dialdehyde cellulose

Abstract

From the Institute of Textile Materials, there is available a number of biologically active substances, immobilized on textile carriers, including trypsin known under the brand name Dalcex-trypsin. In addition, some preparations with an immobilized proteolytic complex isolated from the crustacean hepatopancreas (CHP) are being developed. The above preparations have found their application as wound coverings in treatment of pyo-necrotic wounds of different etiologies and as cosmetological agents as well.. It should be taken into consideration that a portion of the covalently bound enzyme can be dissolved, as a result of the carriers hydrolysis in form of macromolecular species. Interaction of CHP, cellulose, dialdehyde cellulose and DAC-immobilized CHP with some endogenic trypsin inhibitors from the blood plasma has been studied. Shown are data relating to changes in levels of plasma inhibitors (100% is the inhibitor content prior to any interaction).
