Equilibrium dielectric properties of butanediols

Abstract

Experimental data on static dielectric permittivity (e_s) determined at 1 MHz and density (r) are presented in the temperature range from 283 to 423 K for 1,3-, 1,4- and 2,3-butanediols. Values of experimental correlation factor, g_exp, are calculated according to the Onsager-Kirkwood-Frohlich theory. They are used for discussion of local orientational order of molecules in the investigated liquids.
