The phase
equilibria in the Cu–Al–Zr
system at 1073 K up to 50 at.% Al
Abstract
The
phase equilibria in the Cu–Al–Zr
system at 1073 K were investigated by X-Ray and elektron-probe microanalysis
methods, in the Zr-rich region. The fragment of isothermal section of the given
system was constructed. The homogeneity regions based on phases τ4
and τ5 of
ternaries ZrCu2Al and ZrCuxAl2–x
were investigated. The character the phase equilibria between double and
threefold compounds of the Al–Cu–Zr
system was established.It was found out that at the Zr concentration above 55 at.%
of threefold compounds are not formed, and the phases Zr3Al and Zr2Cu
are in equilibria with α-Zr at 1073K.
