Quantitative determination of cortisol and its metabolite in rat urine by HPLC-MS method

Abstract

The technique of quantitative determination of cortisol and its metabolite (6-β-hydroxycortisole) in rat urine was developed. The analysis was provided with high-performance liquid chromatography with mass-selective detector. The limits of quantification of cortisol and its metabolite were 1,0 and 2,5 ng/ml, respectively.
Key words: cortisol, 6-β-hydroxycortisole, quantitative determination, HPLC-MS, drug interaction.
