Enhancement of sers signal using of new material based on cerium dioxide facet dielectric films

Abstract

In this paperweinvestigatedthe possibilityof the facetstructures, based on cerium dioxidefor the purpose ofincreasing the intensity ofthe SERS signal. During the studies a newmetamaterialwas developed. The metamaterial is based on the facet cerium dioxide filmsand plasmonicnanoparticles that are immobilizedon its surface. The new metamaterialprovides additional SERS signal amplificationfactor more than 200. Thus developed materialoffers the prospectof increasing the sensitivity and selectivityof biochemicalandimmunologicalanalysis.
Key words: Surface Enhancement Raman Scattering, cerium dioxide, metamaterials, facet structure, biosensors, immunoassay.
